The Competence Network Distributed Energy Technologies, deENet, had been founded by companies, research institutions and service providers in the year 2003. Today, the association with more than 100 members mainly from Northern Hesse is jointly developing system solutions for complex supply tasks in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. A main focus is on the area of electrical systems technology.

For 30 years, the team of Seeger Engineering AG has worked successfully in the market of energy use of biomass. Ost-West-Wissenschaftszentrum (OWWZ) – East-West-Science Centre (OWWZ)

The East-West-Science Centre was established as an initiative of the University of Kassel in 1992 to pave the way and intensify the co-operation in research and educational fields with universities and research and development organisations in Central and Eastern Europe. Since 2003 the East-West-Science Centre has been advising all universities in Hessen and has developed initiatives which strengthen the international research and development network which concentrates on Central and Eastern Europe.
